[…] Sony had a print advertisement last year for the PlayStation 2. The blog post on it is from September, so it’s probably not in circulation much anymore. Anyway, go look at it. Is that not one of the weirdest, creepiest ad you’ve ever seen? Does that make you want to go out and buy a PlayStation 2? I mean, nevermind the fact that we’ve got what looks like punks who are supposed to be making out on a couch, but then there’s the voyeuristic guy watching it as well. […]

Very….unique advertising. I don’t really see how it’s going to make people go out and purchase PS2’s right away. The thing that made me feel uneasy was the dude watching the couple on the sofa. But, do you notice the dog on the left side of the sofa’s edge? Now that is freaky.

I don’t find it that disturbing really. Just amusing. It has an edge that’s cool, and if I was somebody who’s easily swayed by advertising I’d probably have all the playstation stuff. As it is, I’m only very aware of the brand and its marketing efforts.
I’m into PC gaming.
