Thanks to a comment posted by Student on this old post at AdverBox, I knew of this Google billboard, much similar to the EA Games one.

A good explanation of Google’s one is in this post by Haacked: a complex way to send people to a hiring page and start a recruiting process.

Less complex the EA Games one, previously featured in these pages:

The billboard was placed in front of a competitor’s building. The headline tells (in ASCII code): “Now Hiring”.

I don’t know what billboard was done first, but I think nobody copied.
Simply the agencies placed in front of people a part of the recruiting issues: if you’re so smart to get it (or get there), you’ll work for them.
