“When Granville Island Brewing asked us to design a snowboard for a promotional giveaway, we saw an opportunity to go beyond the typical, logo-heavy branded promotional item and do something that would reflect the brand’s local identity. We wanted to pay homage the West Coast snowboarding lifestyle. Since a large part of that involves calling in ‘sick’ whenever the mountains get a fresh snowfall, we came up with a bunch of excuses and printed them on the board. Not that we’ve ever used any of them ourselves, of course.â€
